Review of the Mattel Hot Wheels RC Terrain Twister

?????New York, NY, September 7, 2012 ? Much has changed in the world of toys over the last 50 years, but certain aspects of the industry have remained constant. When it comes to what toys boys will like, the technology is new, but the elements of what excites boys are still the same. Boys like toys that fly, drive and shoot ? and if one toy can do all three, even better.

?

Dad Does, a blog that does toy reviews, has released a list of some of the top toys for boys in 2012. The list contains plenty of RC toys and blasters that shoot a variety of ammo. All of the toys on the list were tested in the real world, by real families, to determine their play value and durability.

?

?We always have a great time testing out the boy toys, since we are really kids trapped in an adult body. Yes, we do try to give the kids a turn, but the boy toys this year were so fun, it was hard to give them up to the kids? states Dan Nessel of DadDoes.Com

?

While the final list of top boy toys is still being created, here is a quick run down of some of the favorites from the staff at DadDoes.com.

?

In the review of Hot Wheels RC Terrain Twister, Dad Does focused on the ability to drive the RC car on any terrain. In a world where many RC cars are small, fast and delicate, Dad Does found it refreshing to play with a car that can be driven on grass, mud, sand, snow and even in the water.

?

The Air Hogs Hover Assault is a toy that does it all. The RC car can drive, hop, fly and fire missiles. In the review, Dad Does points out that most boys are happy with a flying car, a flying car that can fire missiles is going to make boys jump for joy on Christmas morning.

?

If you have older boys, who have outgrown blasters like Nerf, Dad Does recommends an outdoor sporting goods product ? the JT Splatmaster z200 Shotgun. Basically the z200 Shotgun is a gun that fires mini paintballs, for kids who are too young to play regular paintball. The z200 does not need batteries or CO2 cartridges, but parents will have to stock up on the paintball ammo.

?

Dad Does will continue to review boy toys right up until the start of December. The site also plans on reviewing apps and video games that boys might enjoy.

?

Nessel concludes, ?It has been a banner year for boy toys. There are tons of RC toys ? everything from planes and helicopters to cars that can drive in the snow. If your son is more into blasting, there are new products from Nerf, Razor Vapor, Xploderz and JT Splatmaster. The hardest part about shopping for boy toys this year will be trying not to get too carried away.?
